Global Integration Design Lead

Position Overview

As a Global Integration Design Lead, you will collaborate with designers in global studios, researchers, engineers, and business stakeholders to craft meaningful experiences for our customers through thoughtful design. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of user interface design, design systems, design development, and the release process, with exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to achieving results through global collaboration.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience creating digital interfaces for web, mobile, or in-vehicle interfaces.
  • Formal training or degree in Interface Design, Visual Design, or a related discipline.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing UX expertise, interaction design, creativity, and depth of thought.
  • Successful track record for bringing digital products to market.
  • Operational mindset with strong attention to detail and a drive for results.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize cross-team processes and workflow to guarantee delivery with quality.
  • Ability to exercise restraint in design.
  • Proficient in common design tools such as Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Ability to partner with cross-functional teams to creatively solve challenging problems.
  • Open and growth mindset to learn from each other.
  • Excellent visual, verbal, and written communication skills.

  • Expert level professional: Top individual contributor level in the majority of functions. Progression to this level is typically restricted.
  • Expertise: Recognized as an expert in their field. Applies highly specialized knowledge and extensive practical experience in the area, as well as organizational expertise across multiple areas within a function or across functions. Applies strong business acumen and complex problem-solving techniques to identify, analyze, and resolve issues that influence the achievement of key functional objectives. Develops new or significantly improves existing policies, methods, and systems, incorporating relevant disciplines, theories, and techniques through independent judgment and discretion.   • Scope and Impact: Sets objectives and takes responsibility for achieving metrics and Key Performance Indicators that directly influence the attainment of results, providing measurable contributions to functional outcomes and aligning with GM's strategic priorities. Contributes innovative, impactful ideas, and leads large projects with broad visibility. Develops, plans, and implements solutions that require integration of multiple related teams or larger teams of both internal and external stakeholders. Champions change management and role models GM’s behaviors necessary to maintain a productive team without inhibiting individuals.

Location

This role is based remotely. However, if you live within a 50-mile radius of Austin, Warren, or Sunnyvale, you are expected to report to that location three times a week, at a minimum.
