  • 2+ years of experience in tech/startups, or equivalent roles
  • Expertise in modern Product Design software (preferably Figma)
  • Strong skills in semantic HTML, CSS (including latest features like CSS grid), and JavaScript (preferably with React)
  • A deep understanding of visual design principles and UX/UI best practices, with the ability to sweat the small design details in both mockups and code
  • Proven experience maintaining and scaling a reusable component library or design system
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to bridge gaps between design and engineering
  • A strong sense of organization, documentation, and attention to detail

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain our cross-platform design system, including both design assets and front-end libraries, to ensure consistency and scalability
  • Contribute to the design and development of our core fintech product by crafting reusable, accessible, and elegant components with clean, semantic code
  • Collaborate with the product designer to refine user interfaces and interactions, ensuring we deliver exceptional user experiences
  • Advocate for accessibility and best practices in user experience across all our products
  • Create and maintain internal tooling and documentation to streamline the design-to-code workflow and improve team efficiency
  • Work directly with engineers to implement design system components and evolve our approach to front-end architecture
  • Participate in and contribute to team rituals such as design reviews, sprint planning, and weekly stand-ups
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and iterate rapidly to solve user and team pain points
  • Help define and shape the long-term product vision, bringing a unique perspective that balances design and engineering
