Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership and guidance to sales leadership and Account Executives on complex, high-value, and non-standard deals; set standards for optimal deal structure, pricing, and commercial terms to maximize LTV and profitability
  • Demonstrate deep understanding of SaaS deal types (New Logo, Expansion, Renewal, Consumption/Usage-Based) to guide sales on structure and commercial positioning
  • Ensure deal structures align with company revenue objectives, prioritizing high-quality, recognizable revenue (ASC 606)
  • Serve as primary escalation point for pricing exceptions, non-standard terms, and commercial risks; exercise approval authority on CPQ quotes and ordering documents, adhering to policies, revenue recognition standards, and strategic goals
  • Act as trusted business partner to Sales Directors/VPs, Finance, Legal, and Executive leadership, providing data-driven insights on deal trends, win/loss analysis, and profitability metrics
  • Own and drive continuous improvement roadmap for CPQ system and related commercial tools to maximize sales velocity, data accuracy, and compliance
  • Develop, lead, and execute Global Enablement Program for sales on pricing models, commercial policies, and CPQ best practices
  • Oversee development, maintenance, and mandatory usage of central Commercial Language Library and Policy Repository for consistency, reduced time-to-close, and minimized risk
  • Proactively identify and resolve systemic bottlenecks in the deal cycle, implementing scalable solutions for quote-to-cash efficiency and accuracy
  • Track, analyze, and report on key deal metrics (e.g., discount)
