Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience running Operational, BizOps, or Strategy & Operations teams within a fast-paced environment
  • 5+ years of dedicated, progressive experience in Retail Pricing, demonstrating comprehensive knowledge of the competitive landscape
  • Exceptional data analytics skills including advanced proficiency in Excel
  • 5+ years building and modifying SQL queries
  • 5+ years building and consuming data visualizations (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
  • Demonstrated P&L ownership mindset with a clear understanding of how pricing and purchasing actions directly relate to financial performance and profitability
  • Proven leadership experience and team building skills

Responsibilities

  • Own the future pricing system (descriptive, diagnostic, and predictive), defining the roadmap and vision to ensure bottom-line profit and brand growth
  • Establish management systems, KPIs, management reporting, and daily/weekly/monthly rhythms for the team, focusing on managing by exception and building a Pricing Center of Excellence
  • Drive detail-oriented execution, leading the team in daily SKU-level review deep dives (100+ SKUs/day) to validate system performance, ensure proper intentions, and provide feedback to Business Intelligence and Software teams
  • Develop, implement, and refine dynamic pricing strategies aligned with company goals
  • Establish a robust test-and-learn environment by developing and validating hypotheses using rigorous data-based approaches (e.g., Randomized A/B tests)
  • Drive actual-to-goal reporting and gap analysis; own the tracking and reporting of performance metrics
  • Create and maintain full, clear documentation and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for pricing systems and operations
  • Manage and mentor the Pricing Team, fostering growth and execution
  • Collaborate closely with Merchandising, Finance, Software & Technology (owning the pricing product roadmap), Business Intelligence, and other key divisions
