Strong mechanical aptitude
Attention to detail
Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications (metric and imperial), with a strong understanding of geometric tolerancing
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
Ability to measure and inspect components to ensure they meet design and quality specifications
Effective communication skills in English, both verbally and in writing
Experience working with materials including Aluminium, 17-4 Stainless Steel, and exotic alloys such as Inconel 718 and A286 (implied by handling responsibilities)

Responsibilities

Operate and set up Davenport multi-spindle turning machines in accordance with production requirements
Prepare and install appropriate tooling and materials prior to production runs
Perform basic troubleshooting and minor maintenance on machinery
Work with a variety of materials, including Aluminium, 17-4 Stainless Steel, and exotic alloys such as Inconel 718 and A286
Ensure correct material handling procedures are followed to prevent damage or contamination
Measure and inspect components to ensure they meet design and quality specifications
Record production data and maintain accurate documentation as required
Adhere to company safety protocols and procedures
Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with 5S and lean manufacturing principles
Work closely with the Production Manager and team members to coordinate workflow and resolve production issues
