Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, CIS, or a related field, along with experience operating large-scale, business-critical Linux environments and experience with cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services, GCP, and OCI. They must have a deep understanding of data components including Cassandra, ElasticSearch/OpenSearch, Kafka, Zookeeper, and MySQL, and experience with configuration management tools like Chef. Proficiency in scripting languages like Python and bash is also required, alongside experience with Kubernetes and container images.
The Database Reliability Engineer will maintain and operate properly configured clusters for data components, develop infrastructure services to support the CrowdStrike engineering team’s pursuit of a full DevOps model, troubleshoot time-sensitive production issues, and keep petabytes of critical business data safe, secure, and available. They will also work closely with Engineering and Customer Support to address issues and maintain a deep understanding of the data components, ensuring their proper configuration and automation.
