Candidates should have over 5 years of experience in a quantitative role, ideally as a data scientist or product analyst at a hyper-growth product company or research organization. Proficiency in SQL and Python is required, along with a strong programming background that allows for running simulations and prototyping variants. Excellent communication skills are essential for interacting with product managers, engineers, and executives, and experience in validating quantitative insights with qualitative methods is preferred. Familiarity with NLP, large language models, or generative AI is a plus.
The Data Scientist will embed with the product development team to uncover new ways to improve the product and drive growth. They will define and interpret A/B tests to assess the impact of model and UX changes. Establishing a data-driven product development culture involves defining, tracking, and operationalizing metrics at various levels. Additionally, the role requires developing and socializing dashboards and reports to empower the team and company to answer product data questions independently.
