Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree (MS preferred) in Mathematics, Computer Science, or a quantitative STEM field, with at least 2 years of experience in Data Science and ML roles. A strong foundation in statistics, machine learning, and causal inference, with experience applying these methods to business problems, is required. Proficiency in Python/R, SQL, and experience with data platforms and statistical modeling libraries are essential. Experience in a fast-paced company, a desire to drive projects start-to-finish, a growth mindset, and comfort explaining technical concepts to non-technical audiences are also necessary.
The Data Scientist will support data science-powered products, contribute to forecasting and experimentation capabilities, and improve model accuracy and measurement coverage. They will explain statistical concepts to customers, troubleshoot measurement issues, gather feedback, and collaborate with engineering and product teams to translate customer needs into technical requirements. The role also involves providing technical expertise and support for non-technical stakeholders.
