Requirements

  • Primary accountable for the health and performance of systems owned by Quality Intelligence, including Microsoft SQL, SSIS and Tableau
  • Leverage innovative data mining techniques for data-informed decisions that elevate product quality and drive business excellence
  • Ability to query disparate data systems used across Blizzard, including Oracle/Exadata, Teradata, Hadoop, MySQL, Big Query and Google Cloud Platform
  • Oversee technical projects that align with business and department goals
  • Collaborate with partner and customer teams on the architecture and health of their environments
  • Develop and maintain information and visualizations to tell compelling stories to key stakeholders. Identify and report trends and insights to support QA in meeting its strategic objectives
  • Conduct meetings to provide updates, share information, provide training, drive change, and facilitate effective decision-making
  • Provide support and leadership to the assigned team, ensuring their performance is managed effectively and fostering a productive, positive, collaborative work culture
  • Champion efforts that build synergy, trust, collaboration, and inclusivity within the organization. Own and manage relationships

Responsibilities

  • Leads the Quality Assurance Data Team
  • Responsible for the diverse portfolio of Database and reporting capabilities that inform QA leadership on how to best test data generated and improve the software created by Blizzard games and online technologies
  • Architect, deploy, maintain, and tune all technologies that Extract, Transform, Load (ETL), and visualize data for Quality Assurance, User Research, and Production teams
  • Develop key operational metrics, KPIs, and insights to aid QA teams in continuous improvement initiatives
  • Responsible for the end-to-end delivery of data products that support Test telemetry visualizations
  • Ultimately responsible for the ongoing maintenance and support of database technologies and systems currently in production in the Quality Assurance Data Team, including MySQL, Oracle, MS SQL Server, Teradata, Tableau, Hadoop and Big Query
  • Able to pivot and support new business requirements
  • Building relationships with key stakeholders across Blizzard, both game teams and operational teams
  • Establish a rapport with key stakeholders to enable a cooperative relationship between the Quality Assurance Data Team staff and the product owners who design the applications or operate the systems
