Junior (1 to 2 years)
Candidates should have strong experience in data analysis within transport, geography, or mobility contexts and be familiar with road and driving datasets such as telematics, traffic data, or mapping providers. A solid understanding of GIS concepts and spatial data analysis is required, along with proven ability to interpret complex datasets and communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. Strong proficiency with BI tools and spreadsheets, along with excellent research and critical thinking skills, are essential. Experience with predictive modelling or scenario forecasting and programming in Python or R for data wrangling are preferred.
The Data Intelligence Analyst will analyze road and driving data to evaluate coverage and occurrences of static infrastructure, dynamic elements, environmental conditions, driving behaviors, and driving scenarios. Responsibilities include assessing and auditing current datasets for completeness, accuracy, and gaps, and developing current-state summaries and future-state projections with scenario modeling. The analyst will use BI tools, spreadsheets, GIS software, and potentially SQL/Python for analysis and visualization. They will present findings to diverse audiences, including technical and non-technical stakeholders, and collaborate with various teams to translate insights into actionable recommendations.
Develops autonomous vehicle technology using AI
Wayve.ai develops self-driving technology known as AV2.0, which focuses on creating a smarter and safer approach to autonomous vehicles. Their technology uses embodied AI software that allows vehicles to learn from their experiences and adapt to different environments without needing detailed programming. This method is different from traditional self-driving technologies that often rely on expensive hardware and pre-mapped data. Instead, Wayve.ai employs end-to-end deep learning, making their solution more cost-effective for automakers. The company targets automakers and fleet operators, offering them adaptable and affordable solutions for driving automation. Wayve.ai has already partnered with major retailers in the UK to test its technology in delivery fleets, aiming to enhance mobility and sustainability in the automotive industry.
