Requirements

Candidates should be great software engineers with a passion for writing high-quality code, possessing experience with Python, SQL, and Spark/PySpark. Experience in assuring data quality, deploying data services in a cloud environment (ideally AWS), and working with APIs designed for high-volume traffic is expected. Familiarity with relational databases like Postgres/Aurora is also beneficial. The role requires the ability to work autonomously and proactively to scope, solve, and deliver pragmatic solutions.

Responsibilities

The Data Engineer II will build new data sources and data pipelines that deliver key data and insights to the business, as well as pipelines that power the Kraken platform's inner workings, including billing, settlement, and customer-facing applications. Responsibilities include building and maintaining testing and documentation frameworks for data sources, collaborating with the business to scope and deliver new data engineering projects, and maintaining and enhancing existing data infrastructure and tools. The role also involves supporting the internationalization of the data infrastructure as the company grows globally.
