Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. They must have 5-7 years of extensive hands-on experience with the Azure cloud platform, including a proven track record of leading complex cloud projects. Specific experience includes 5+ years with Azure Policy, Microsoft Defender, Azure Networking, Application Gateway, Azure Bastion, Azure DDoS protection, Front Door, and Key Vault. Additionally, 4+ years of experience with SQL Server Managed Instance, Azure SQL, Azure Functions, Azure Backup, App Services, Azure Site Recovery, AKS, Azure Blob Storage, and Disk Storage is required. The role also demands 7+ years of hands-on experience in cloud engineering and IT infrastructure, with a portion in a cloud technology or governance role, and 6+ years serving as an escalation point for complex cloud incidents. Expertise in cloud architecture, including cloud-native services, multi-cloud, and hybrid cloud environments, is essential. Proficiency in scripting and automation tools such as Python, Bash, Terraform, and Ansible is necessary, along with a strong understanding of cloud security practices, compliance frameworks, and regulatory requirements. Experience in technically supporting public cloud environments, including Identity & Access Management, security controls, cloud forensics, cost optimization, and network solutions, is also required. AWS experience is a plus.
The Azure Cloud Engineer will support the migration of a key CDK application to Azure, with experience in large-scale application migrations from on-premise data centers to the Azure public cloud. Responsibilities include the deployment and configuration of automated, efficient, and resilient cloud environments, driving the adoption of infrastructure-as-code (IaC) practices using tools like Terraform and Ansible, and implementing CI/CD pipelines for streamlined service delivery.
