Requirements

Candidates should possess a Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Math, or a similar degree, along with over 4 years of experience working with data pipelines, products, and tools. They must have experience building and maintaining complex data integrations or pipelines, well-developed opinions on modern data warehouse architecture, tools, and patterns, and excellent technical vision for building functional, durable, and maintainable products. A customer-first and learner’s mindset, valuing teaching others, and the ability to make appropriate trade-offs are essential, as is clear and concise communication. Experience with Google Cloud Platform, BigQuery, PostgreSQL, Metabase, Terraform, and Python is a plus.

Responsibilities

The Data Engineer will collaborate with leadership, engineering, delivery, product, and customers to understand data needs and long-term product strategy. They will own the design of new data infrastructure by researching best practices and tools, and build and support new data products including datasets and pipelines. Additionally, they will contribute to building a robust data culture, ensuring data is trusted and accessible, and work on projects such as BI Platform Infrastructure, Airflow, BigQuery Tuning, Customer Facing Data Delivery Infrastructure, DBT Deployment, CI/CD, and Data Streaming Infrastructure.
