Requirements

Entry-level position with interest in understanding infrastructure and data center technologies (HVAC, Power Distribution, Structured Low Voltage Cabling, Space Planning)
Combination of technical and soft skills, including critical thinking and strong grasp of data analysis
Detail-oriented with excellent communication and writing skills

Responsibilities

Provide on-site consulting support for Align clients with data center design, installation, and operational issues as directed by the Data Center Solutions Director and Project Manager
Participate in various IT project management activities including site surveys, needs assessments, preparation of documentation, scheduling vendor installations, data analysis, and coordination of various project deliverables
Participate in on-site data center review and evaluation projects
Contribute to the RFP process, project planning, current-state vs. target-state assessments, and client presentations
Participate in design of electrical distribution system for data center equipment for Align’s client base
Act as Project Analyst for the installation of the electrical design and low voltage cabling system in data center build-outs
Develop data center white space blueprints for power distribution, cabinet spatial layouts, and hot and cold-aisle containment solutions
Create visuals of data center cabinet elevations, network diagrams, and floor-plans using graphics programs such as Excel and Bluebeam
Assist in initiating and managing the subcontractor bidding processes while creating scopes of work and bills of materials for various projects
Assist with client billing
Assist with the administration of projects including making updates to budget and project plans, creating project documentation, etc
Assist in trade coordination installing equipment on data center projects, managing project plans, and maintaining documentation
