Requirements

  • Experienced in leading or coordinating critical infrastructure projects, preferably within data center or mission-critical environments
  • Deep understanding of data center infrastructure, including colocation fit-outs, high-density compute expansions, and infrastructure upgrades
  • Ability to independently lead full project lifecycles from design coordination to site deployment
  • Technical depth to anticipate risks, resolve field challenges, and influence design reviews for constructability
  • Strong project execution fundamentals, including schedule and budget management, risk identification, and contingency planning
  • Proactive decision-making and sound judgment for complex issues
  • Clear stakeholder communication skills across engineering, supply chain, operations, and leadership
  • Willingness to travel 50% to various data center sites

Responsibilities

  • Drive implementation of large-scale colocation and white space fit-out projects, leading day-to-day execution across multiple vendors and internal workstreams
  • Proactively identify risks and apply sound judgment to resolve complex issues
  • Participate in and influence design reviews, ensuring constructability and alignment with Lambda’s data center standards; translate MEP and architectural designs into executable field plans
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation including status reports, schedules, submittal logs, change tracking, and updates to project management systems
  • Interface directly with general contractors, commissioning agents, and OEM partners to ensure timely delivery and quality execution; evaluate and escalate performance issues
  • Oversee coordination and delivery of OFCI (Owner-Furnished, Contractor-Installed) equipment, anticipating logistical challenges and maintaining alignment between teams
  • Conduct regular site visits to assess progress, validate workmanship, enforce safety and compliance standards, and communicate deviations with resolution plans
  • Communicate project updates and risks to leadership and stakeholders; prepare meeting materials and drive action items
  • Track and forecast progress against milestones, budgets, and resources; recommend course corrections and contingency plans
  • Partner with Network Engineering, Data Center Operations, HPC, Supply Chain, and TPM teams for seamless coordination across buildout, commissioning, and handoff
  • Identify and implement improvements in project delivery workflows, documentation standards, and vendor management; mentor junior team members and contribute to training
