• ISTA Personnel Solutions South Africa is partnering with a US-based client to recruit a Data Analyst with Python Development experience. The ideal candidate will analyze large datasets, develop data pipelines, and create insightful visualizations to drive business decisions. This role requires expertise in Python programming, data manipulation, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.

Requirements

• Programming Languages: Proficiency in Python
• Python Libraries: Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib, Seaborn, Scikit-learn
• SQL Skills: Strong SQL skills for querying and managing relational databases
• Data Visualization Tools: Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Plotly)
• Cloud Platform: Experience with Azure cloud platform is advantageous
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years experience in Data Analytics in Python required

Responsibilities

• Data Analysis & Insights: Analyze large, complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business objectives and data needs.
• Python Development: Write modular, efficient, and scalable code for data manipulation and transformation using Python.
• Automation: Automate repetitive data processing tasks to improve efficiency and accuracy using Python Scripts.
• Data Visualization: Create and maintain dashboards and reports using tools such as Power BI.
• Presentations: Present data findings in a clear and compelling manner to stakeholders at various levels.
• Database Management: Exposure to SQL and database management using Python (SQLAlchemy/MongoDB etc.).
• Machine Learning: Exposure to machine learning predictive modelling would be advantageous.

Working Hours & Environment

• Working Hours: Mon - Fri, 9am to 6pm EST (15h00 to 24h00 South African time - subject to change dependant on daylight savings)
• Work Environment: Remote role for South African Citizens only.

Technical Requirements

• Internet: Fixed fibre line with a minimum speed of 25 Mbps for both upload and download, capable of supporting a wired Ethernet connection.
• Power Backup: Candidates must have power backup solution (UPS, Solar) to manage loadshedding or power outages.
