Candidates must possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative discipline such as Finance, Econometrics, Statistics, Engineering, or Computer Sciences. Required technical skills include expertise in writing and debugging efficient SQL queries and strong experience with data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau, with a preference for Power BI. Advanced MS-Office skills, particularly in MS-Excel and MS-PowerPoint, are also necessary. Beneficial skills include experience with R or Python. The role requires at least 7-9 years of evolving experience in data management, pharma market intelligence, performance reporting/visualization, and/or descriptive analytics, with a proven ability to understand, structure, and analyze complex datasets. Experience with project management software and proficiency in PC applications and diagramming tools like Microsoft Project, Visio, or Lucid Chart are preferred. Strong work ethic, personal motivation, interpersonal and communication skills, stakeholder management skills, and the ability to work effectively in an international matrix environment are essential.
The Data Analyst will deliver key tools, data analyses, and reports to support business decisions for the integrated global medical information team. This role will champion the self-service reporting strategy and play a key part in automating and creating scalable frameworks for reporting and analytics. Responsibilities include understanding data sources used by the GMI function and Medical Contact Centers globally, building expertise on available datasets, and supporting data-enabled decision-making through the development of data lakes, insights, reporting, and visualization. The analyst will execute and monitor operations tasks to ensure the timely availability of data in reporting/dashboard structures, perform data validations to ensure data quality, respond to internal stakeholder queries, meet operations SLAs, and perform incident resolution and root cause analysis. Key duties also involve the consistent delivery of high-quality, timely, and insightful reports, developing and publishing execution dashboards according to business roadmaps and requirements, and performing descriptive analytics and visualization to provide data-driven actionable insights on planning, execution, and outcomes. Additionally, the role involves gathering requirements and providing recommendations for an integrated, real-time data analysis platform, demonstrating a deep understanding of information and material flows, processes, procedures, systems, and methods, as well as understanding internal business partners' people, processes, and technology. Collaboration with other site-level teams to identify synergies and implement best practices is also a core responsibility.
