Located in Tennessee and able to work hybrid schedule requiring office reporting
Minimum 6 months experience in customer service or call center environment (call center preferred; doctor's office experience must involve managing 75+ calls/day)
Understanding of insurance concepts, including governmental plans, ancillary plan benefits, and other coverages
Effective and empathetic communication style for managing inbound calls and communications with clients and team members
Computer proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
Basic alphanumeric data entry skills with attention to accuracy and quality
Intermediate math skills with attention to detail
Ability to work in a team environment while meeting individual performance goals
Ability to read and interpret policies, procedures, and instructions
Effective organizational skills and ability to prioritize fluctuating workload and competing priorities
High School diploma or GED equivalent

Responsibilities

Verify insurance coverage for potential and new clients
Re-verify insurance coverage for existing patients and answer questions about benefits, coverage, billing, and payments
Respond to telephone inquiries from new policyholders, tenured policyholders, agents, and their representatives
Assist with registering or resetting passwords and online registration
Provide information on coverage, benefits, billing, payments, and general questions; determine best method for providing services
Verify insurance and/or payments
Perform data entry
Assist with processing of billing paperwork
Accurately maintain files of patient account profile information and referral source data
Resolve patient complaints by identifying root cause and coordinating corrective action
Deliver excellent customer service to members, agents, and representatives
