Requirements

  • 1-3+ years experience in an analytical role (e.g., data analyst, bizops, consulting, investment banking), ideally in startups
  • Strong experience with Excel and SQL
  • Ability to blend quantitative data with qualitative insights to test hypotheses
  • Analytically-minded problem solver who thrives on solving complex problems, quickly learns and adapts to new situations, and synthesizes the abstract into the concrete
  • Highly organized: thinks in systems and processes, brings structure to ambiguity, ruthlessly prioritizes, and feels organization is second nature
  • Clear communicator: excellent writer (memos, slides) and excels at making the complex simple to empower decision-making
  • Based in New York City (HQ) with typically 3+ days per week in the office

Responsibilities

  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to be a thought partner for data-informed strategic decision-making across all parts of the customer value chain
  • Build, scale, and optimize business processes aligned to ingesting customer (e.g., schedules, order data, store information) and partner information to execute growth strategy
  • Own analytics across steps that touch all aspects of the customer value chain including shift inputs, partner performance metrics, etc
  • Own analytics initiatives that support daily operations such as building data architecture, identifying opportunities using data and first principles, and pushing customers and internal teams to improve shift ROI
  • Drive business decision analysis, internal and external customer reporting, and provide continuous insights and recommendations on operational performance
  • Design new business processes for scale, build and launch new initiatives, and optimize existing ways of working
