Requirements

  • HS diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in an automated customer service environment (or any combination of education and experience providing equivalent background)
  • For candidates within reasonable commuting distance from posting location (2015 Staples Mill, Richmond, VA), unless accommodation granted
  • Ability to work from home with hard-wired internet access and a quiet/private workspace (strongly preferred)
  • Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills (for URAC accredited areas)

Responsibilities

  • Proactively resolve members' and/or providers' questions and concerns using computer-based resources
  • Guide members and providers with healthcare needs by explaining benefits, solving claim concerns, and helping find a doctor via telephone calls, online chats, or emails
  • Partner internally to create a seamless experience for customers and resolve potential issues
  • Act as a trusted advisor and educator on healthcare-related inquiries
  • Attend required in-person training sessions
