Candidates must be willing to process and evaluate credit applications for consumers and corporations, and possess the ability to interpret credit application information, including accounts and KPIs. Experience in a hands-on credit assessment and underwriting role, knowledge of credit policies, familiarity with automated credit decisioning platforms, and experience in vehicle leasing are essential. Experience in B2B credit risk for business contract hire and salary sacrifice products, as well as consumer credit assessment, is also required.
The Credit Underwriter will manage the day-to-day credit and underwriting process, review and manage credit escalations and referrals, and make underwriting decisions for clients not handled by auto-underwriting. They will also support the development of consumer scorecards, underwriting policy, process, and systems.
