Responsibilities

  • Manage patients at high risk for suicide and self-harm, including conducting acute risk assessments and crisis stabilization
  • Provide weekly individual therapy to clients in the full DBT program
  • Provide DBT phone coaching within business hours on request to clients in the full DBT program
  • Teach weekly DBT skills groups to 5-12 clients, including coordinating care with other Cascadia therapists
  • Facilitate a biweekly DBT graduates’ group for clients who have completed at least a year of DBT
  • Teach and model DBT skills and prosocial behaviors while helping clients reestablish a sense of self
  • Respect client rights, maintain professional boundaries, and follow ethical guidelines
  • Provide clinical consultation to other Cascadia programs as needed
  • Attend weekly DBT consult group for training, case consultation, and therapeutic support
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' mental health status and treatment needs
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings and therapeutic goals
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists, nurses, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate integrated care
  • Monitor clients' progress, evaluate outcomes, and adjust treatment plans as needed
  • Assist in crisis situations as appropriate, following protocols and procedures in coordination with the treatment team
  • Provide guidance, support, and training to other staff in alignment with company mission and values
  • Participate in all scheduled staff meetings
