Requirements

Candidates should possess experience leading a team of Cost Engineers on a mega project, demonstrating proficiency in developing and maintaining project dashboards and reports, and being proficient in SAP and Omega 365 (PIMS). Advanced Excel skills, strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are also required, along with the willingness to travel and relocate to the project site in Gonzales, Louisiana.

Responsibilities

The Lead Cost Engineer is responsible for gathering, validating, analyzing, and reporting pertinent cost information throughout the project's duration, applying standard techniques and procedures to support project cost management. They closely involve themselves in preparing project cost forecasts, ensuring the consistency and accuracy of reporting from multiple Cost Engineers, and adhering to compliance guidelines. The Lead Cost Engineer facilitates the preparation of project cost forecasting and provides accurate and timely status updates. They also lead and provide direction to additional cost engineer project resources, manage the control budget, assist the PCM to develop and implement strategies for workload among the cost staff, participate in establishing initial budgets and breakdown structures, and are responsible for the project set-up activities related to cost and earned value management.
