Requirements

2 to 4 years accounting experience in a combination of public accounting, internal audit, fund admin, compliance, or another private equity or investment management firm (preferred)
Experience with alternative investments, private equity and partnership accounting, and fund administration (preferred)
B.A. or B.S. in Accounting or a related field
Strong accounting skills; professional certification (CPA or equivalent) strongly preferred
Excel skills including index/match, advanced pivots, and advanced formulas
Strong organizational skills
Experience with credit and structured products investments (Bank Debt, HY Bonds, CLOs) (preferred)
Self-starter who requires little direction
Ability to multi-task and maintain composure in a high-volume environment
Strong sense of urgency; ability to execute quickly and efficiently with strong attention to detail
Strong verbal and written communication abilities
Structured problem solver who can synthesize sophisticated information from a variety of sources into implementable recommendations and solutions
Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple teams

Responsibilities

Assist with the management of expense codes and corresponding allocation rules
Assist in implementation and development of a new expense allocation system
Interact with different departments in the firm both domestically and internationally, including Deal Teams, Fund Accounting, IT, Operations, Compliance, Financial Planning & Strategy, Tax, and Accounts Payable
Assist with design and implementation of accounting systems and processes
Ensure compliance of expense recoveries in accordance with fund documents and maintain the associated log of decision making
Develop and implement processes and procedures throughout the expense life cycle
Identify and help solve for critical accounting and reporting issues
Manage and perform special projects and analysis for firm leadership
