Requirements

Candidates must be active duty military personnel within 180 days of separation or retirement and have commander approval to be eligible for the DOD Skillbridge Apprenticeship. A Bachelor's degree in technical studies and/or 3+ years of relevant experience in IT, security, system engineering/administration, or sales engineering is required. Knowledge of malware, threat intelligence, and/or sandbox analysis is necessary, along with the ability to write and modify basic scripts in languages like PowerShell, Python, and Bash. Experience with virtualization/VDI technologies, large-scale cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and Active Directory is preferred, as is customer-facing experience and comfort leading presentations. Certifications such as CEH, CISSP, OSCP, SANS, or participation in security events like capture the flag are considered a bonus.

Responsibilities

The Corporate Sales Engineer will learn to articulate the design, deployment, and shortcomings of current security solutions to provide value to potential customers. They will serve the SMB segments, partnering with Account Executives to acquire new clients. Responsibilities include being an expert in the endpoint security space (AV, EDR, incident response, forensics, SIEM, firewall, HIPS/IDS), demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems, and articulating security problems to prospects while identifying solutions from CrowdStrike's product line. The role involves working independently, collaborating with Sales, Marketing, Support, and Engineering teams, conducting demonstrations and proofs of value, and presenting technical concepts to diverse audiences up to C-level executives, requiring effective time management and organizational skills.
