Requirements

Comprehensive understanding of multi-jurisdictional laws and regulations
Knowledge of various investment product structures
Ability to engage external legal counsel and other advisors as necessary
Experience liaising with global legal and compliance teams
Ability to work in a team environment with Legal and Compliance team in London and globally
Good understanding of applicable policies, procedures, risk appetites, and tolerance relevant to function/business unit
Ability to identify, assess, control risks, and escalate/record incidents accurately and timely
Stay current on market conditions, fintech innovation, FCA rules (outsourcing, client assets, data protection, conflicts), and regulations impacting SEI's products/services

Responsibilities

Provide support to London business units, leading on drafting, negotiation/renegotiation of agreements and commercial relationships
Work with stakeholders to manage strategic corporate initiatives including M&A activity, reorganisations, and new business ventures
Involvement in legal and regulatory projects, advising on legal risks, obligations, industry standards, and ensuring adherence to FCA and other regulations (e.g., MiFID II)
Support business with transactional work and escalate appropriate legal/regulatory issues to General Counsel
Ensure adherence to Corporate Governance, updating/maintaining strong mandatory records
Maintain and update internal systems/data reference points in agreed format for consistency, communication, and data integrity
Maintain ongoing effective communication and alignment of market/regulatory developments with client business practices
