Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering
  • 5+ years of experience in operational excellence and managing productivity projects
  • Fully Bilingual (English and Spanish) is a plus
  • Lean Manufacturing and/or Project Management certification is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Apply Lean principles to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of operations departments within the manufacturing facility
  • Develop manufacturing solutions that support the operations strategic directives through the application of statistical methods and performing mathematical calculations
  • Analyze, create and develop facilities layout to support cycle time reduction and productivity improvements
  • Meet with suppliers, staff, and management personnel regarding purchases, procedures, product specifications, and present project status
  • Perform capacity analysis for headcount and equipment, as well as maintaining labor standard and headcount/equipment profiles
  • Offer technical support to other departments in flow, ergonomics, and productivity projects
  • Develop and maintain productivity metrics
  • Identify and eliminate non-value added activities using continuous improvement tools and DMAIC methodology
  • Develop manufacturing methods, labor and equipment utilization methods and cost analysis systems to promote efficient staff, materials, and facility utilization. This includes analyzing BOM and routing processes focusing on business strategies
  • Ensure compliance with all procedures and all applicable regulatory agency requirements
  • Other duties as assigned
