Candidates must possess an unrestricted medical license and multiple state licenses are helpful, although only the willingness and ability to obtain additional licenses are required. Board certification in a relevant specialty, such as Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Endocrinology, is preferred. Experience and competence in diabetes management are essential, along with a strong interest in the science behind Virta's nutritional approach to diabetes reversal. Telemedicine experience is preferred.
As a Continuity Clinician, you will provide safe and timely care during office hours through continuous remote care, collaborating with health coaches and other clinicians. You will proactively ensure adequate follow-up of patient concerns, share after-hours coverage with the team, and actively participate in developing new technology and protocols to improve patient care and outcomes. You will supervise NP members of the team and contribute to improving quality of care, demonstrating a patient-centered approach and a values-driven culture.
