Requirements

  • Expertise in strategy consulting, data analytics, brand management, marketing, operations, and macroeconomics
  • Experience leading consulting engagements for clients in payments or financial services, particularly in Japan
  • Ability to act as the main focal point, coordinating between client teams, junior members, internal stakeholders, and outsourcing partners
  • Strong project management skills, including tracking status, action items, issues, and risks
  • Proficiency in preparing client project proposals, clarifying objectives, scope, deliverables, approach, dependencies, roles, and responsibilities
  • Skills in overseeing project setup, including contracting, stakeholder engagement, workplans, interview guides, data requirements, and vendor SOWs
  • Capability to develop fact bases through client interviews and analysis of documentation or processes
  • Experience analyzing Visa and client data to benchmark performance and identify gaps/opportunities
  • Ability to collaborate with data science, hub, global, and functional teams for expertise and advanced analytics
  • Proficiency in identifying solutions, recommendations, and leveraging VCA methodologies, frameworks, and global best practices
  • Strong presentation skills to design and deliver compelling findings and recommendations
  • Ability to identify and surface client project opportunities for account plans
  • Experience managing, coaching, and developing team members while ensuring deliverable quality
  • Skills in creating, developing, and maintaining analytical models and methodologies for VCA offerings and IP

Responsibilities

  • Lead consulting engagements for clients in Japan to enable portfolio growth and improved profitability in payment businesses
  • Manage various initiatives between Visa and clients, including scoping, proposing, contracting, and delivering projects
  • Manage team members’ performance and delivery quality
  • On a project-by-project basis: Track status, action items, issues, and risks for consulting projects, Visa product implementations, marketing initiatives, etc
  • Prepare client project proposals, drawing input from clients, local relationship managers, and functional teams
  • Oversee project setup including contracting documentation, stakeholder engagement, workplans, interview guides, client data requirements, and vendor SOWs
  • Develop fact bases by conducting client interviews and analyzing documentation or processes
  • Analyze Visa and client data to benchmark performance against industry averages and identify improvement opportunities
  • Collaborate with data science team for advanced analytics
  • Collaborate with hub, global, or functional teams for subject matter expertise
  • Identify solutions and recommendations addressing client objectives using VCA methodologies and best practices
  • Design and deliver compelling presentations for findings, ideas, and recommendations
  • Identify and surface opportunities for client projects into account plans
  • Manage and coach team members for growth, career development, and quality deliverables
  • Create, develop, and maintain analytical models and methodologies for standardized VCA offerings and IP
