Requirements

  • 3+ years of quota-carrying, inside or outside sales experience in IT Data Center sales
  • Experience and/or training in outcome based selling such as the Challenger™ Selling Model
  • Ability to generate, mature, and close both transactional and strategic deals through rostered partners
  • Ability to have a technical ‘first conversation’ with customers/partners around HPE’s portfolio and strategy
  • Bachelors degree in business management, computer science, engineering, or related fields
  • Experience with IT Data Center compute hardware, software, services
  • Understanding of the IT Data Center market buying cycles and players in North America

Responsibilities

  • Identify, mature, and close HPE compute opportunities with rostered partners
  • Lead outcome-based sales engagements with a rostered set of partners to grow HPE orders and revenue from those partners
  • Tell and sell the HPE story to rostered partners and their customers
  • Create and drive HPE’s compute sales out strategy for rostered partners
  • Properly articulate HPE’s compute portfolio’s value proposition to partner executives and gain buy-in on why the partner should lead with HPE
  • Lead co-selling engagements with the partner’s field sales force
  • Act as the partner’s primary advocate inside HPE
  • Engage partner sales, sales management, and technical teams to enable their ability to properly articulate and position HPE’s compute portfolio to their customers
  • Collaborate with the HPE Partner Business Manager (PBM); Storage, Hybrid Cloud, and Networking Specialist Account Managers to develop and manage the overall partner business plan
