Requirements

  • Completes assigned training in conjunction with Consumer Bank Training & Operations Teams
  • CARE certified within 6 months of hire
  • Complete Bank’s leadership (STELLAR) classes as assigned by Employee Services
  • Completes Leadership Basics as scheduled by Consumer Bank Training

Responsibilities

  • Assumes responsibility for ensuring the efficient and effective operation of the branch
  • Develops a sales and quality service culture throughout the branch by acting as coach and team leader to instill a positive attitude and motivate branch employees
  • Incorporates Our Shared Future purpose and values into all team meetings, coaching sessions and leads by example
  • Communicates expectations, goals, and objectives to branch personnel
  • Reviews and recommends improved operating policies and procedures and ensures the proper implementation and maintenance of approved changes
  • Makes recommendations for branch personnel regarding employment, performance ratings, salary changes, promotions, transfers, and terminations
  • Coaches, guides and mentors branch team members in the more complex phases of their work, including their personal development and career planning
  • Assists with operational excellence in resolution of operational and customer problems
  • Manages the branch lending activities in the area of consumer & Small Business lending: Interviews loan customers, prepares and processes applications and documentation for all loans, prepares necessary loan tracking reports
  • Focuses on execution of S&T sales conversations, note-taking in appropriate systems while profiling customers to determine and recommend appropriate S&T loan and deposit products
  • Acts as "first-line" human resource administrator: Completes Bank’s leadership (STELLAR) classes as assigned, completes Leadership Basics, coaches and observes sales platform team members weekly using Banker Observation form, performs ongoing coaching on behaviors and expectations from Branch Playbook, reviews and coaches to customer surveys from Customer Insight (Avannis) program, completes employee performance reviews and conducts interviews on performance, goals, and objectives, coordinates with Regional Management and Human Resources on staffing needs, ensures staff development, handles succession planning and personnel issues
  • Leads or assigns leadership of branch sales meetings, provides positive feedback regarding sales activity, and reviews branch sales goals weekly, monthly, and quarterly
  • Oversees dashboard and pipeline management; manages branch profitability (staffing/ES expenses, loan growth, deposit growth, fee income, efficiency ratios, assigned budget items)
  • Manages business relationships within the community served
  • Handles certain branch audit responsibilities in operations, compliance, and security; achieves satisfactory annual Operation Assessment Review (OAR)
  • Directs delivery of services to customers and attends to customers with special needs
  • Uses FOR-LIFE skills, product knowledge, and knowledge of policies/procedures to suggest additional bank services for lending/deposit growth and refers customers to other Lines of Business
  • Utilizes appropriate computer programs for proactive activities
