The Role

In this role, you’ll own the curation and storytelling behind one of our most exciting surfaces: Discover — a curated feed of the best public events happening IRL. You’ll be our in-house cultural scout — curating what’s hot, weird, cool, and unmissable in New York and beyond. Whether it’s parties, popups, raves, readings, or rituals, you’ll shape the narrative of what’s culturally relevant, decide what events deserve the spotlight, onboard the most exciting event organizers and tastemakers, and build a system for surfacing what matters most to our community.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• Curate and program the Discover feed, handpicking the most interesting, surprising, and culturally relevant public events
• Source and onboard the best events and communities in New York
• Define our editorial strategy: what types of events we highlight, which communities we spotlight, and how we evolve the feed over time
• Build and manage partnerships with tastemakers, influencers, organizations, and cultural institutions to bring top-tier events onto Partiful
• Create and edit content to support Discover, including written content, visual assets, and short-form video content, that highlight featured events and communities
• Develop playbooks to scale Discover to new cities and verticals
• Collaborate with Product and Design to evolve the Discover experience as a product surface

Qualifications

You're a good fit if:

• You have an established following as a curator of events, or you have 1-3 years of experience in event curation, editorial, cultural programming, or partnerships at a publication, consumer brand, or startup.
• You love New York and have your finger on the pulse of what’s happening — across scenes, neighborhoods, and subcultures
• You have exceptional taste and cultural intuition — you know what’s cool before it’s mainstream
• You have strong opinions on curation and storytelling, and you’re obsessed with how people discover what to do
• You’re an expert at building relationships and know how to open doors with the right people
• You are highly execution focused and work efficiently — you’re known for getting sh*t done and make sure balls don’t get dropped
• No task is too small for you to own — you’re always happy to hop on a call, take a meeting, send cold emails, or anything else it takes to win over users
• You’re excited to be a cultural builder and help shape how Partiful shows up in the world

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary Range: $65,000 - $100,000 (depending on experience)
