Candidates should have sales engineering or solution architect experience in a SaaS environment or relevant industry experience such as analytics, data science, or data engineering. Outstanding presentation skills are required for both technical and executive audiences, along with an understanding of data architecture, data analytics, and cloud technology. Hands-on experience with SQL is essential, and candidates should possess customer-facing skills to effectively communicate the company's vision to diverse audiences. Preferred qualifications include hands-on experience with Python and familiarity with modern data technologies.
The Commercial Sales Engineer will present Snowflake’s technology and vision to executives and technical contributors at prospects and customers. They will work hands-on with prospects and customers to demonstrate and communicate the value of Snowflake technology throughout the sales cycle, from demo to proof of concept to design and implementation. The role involves creating and developing technical champions in accounts to drive deals, collaborating with other sales engineers for continuous improvement, and working closely with Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing to enhance Snowflake’s products. Additionally, they will represent Snowflake at industry or customer events and collaborate with ecosystem and implementation partners to build joint architectures or account strategies.
