Requirements

Candidates should have at least 2 years of experience in collections, payment application, or AR within a fast-paced or high-growth company, preferably in tech or SaaS. Familiarity with complex billing models and hands-on experience with accounting or ERP systems like NetSuite, QuickBooks, or Maxio are required. Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills, exceptional communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities are essential, along with the ability to work independently and adapt to change. Prior insurance or healthtech experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

The Collections Specialist will manage the end-to-end collections process for customer accounts, including outreach, follow-ups, and dispute resolution, while communicating professionally with clients to resolve outstanding balances. They will accurately apply payments, credits, and adjustments to customer accounts, reconcile unapplied cash, and manage daily cash postings. Additionally, the role involves identifying process inefficiencies, recommending solutions, supporting new tool implementations, maintaining AR aging reports, tracking collections KPIs, and assisting with monthly close processes.
