High school graduate or equivalent education is required. Prior collection experience in financial services or leasing is desired but not necessary. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to perform in a high-intensity, customer-focused environment and possess a proven track record of excellent written and verbal communication and negotiation skills. The role also requires the ability to research, analyze, and resolve problems, general math and computation skills, people skills, the ability to follow processes and procedures, and the capacity to effectively process a high volume of incoming/outgoing phone calls. The Portfolio Manager will handle outbound and incoming communication related to outstanding delinquent lease payments and is responsible for the resolution of account administrative delinquencies for GreatAmerica customers. This role involves utilizing initiative to investigate the reasons for customer delinquency on lease agreements and carrying out responsibilities in collections and customer service. The Portfolio Manager will contact and collect accounts 10-60 days past due to arrange timely payments, process phone calls, internal inquiries, meetings, and other requests simultaneously, and process research and correspondence related to customer disputes and collection problem inquiries. They will work in a team-based, solution-oriented environment, including customer support through inbound and outbound calls, addressing issues related to billing, taxation, insurance, maintenance, contract terms, purchase options, and account history. The expectation is to work approximately 36 accounts per day and be involved in cross-functional team efforts and training as required.
