Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience securing cloud infrastructure, specifically AWS, in a production environment is required. Strong knowledge of core AWS security services and architecture such as IAM, GuardDuty, CloudTrail, Firewall, and Security Hub is essential. Solid practical experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, ideally with 3+ years of experience, is necessary. Demonstrated proficiency with Kubernetes security, including cluster hardening, role-based access control (RBAC), network policies, and container vulnerability management, along with familiarity with Docker, is also required. Experience with DevOps and CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions is needed.
The Cloud Security Engineer will lead efforts to identify opportunities for automation and design/build new security capabilities and tools, leveraging Generative AI. They will design, build, and maintain secure, scalable, and automated AWS cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools like Terraform. The role involves integrating security practices into DevOps pipelines to ensure strong security controls throughout the development lifecycle, especially for IaC management. Responsibilities include optimizing AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM) to enforce the principle of least privilege and designing/implementing secure network configurations within AWS, including Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs) and security groups. The engineer will also help administer and maintain network security solutions, assist in responding to cybersecurity alerts and incidents, serve as a security advocate and educator within the engineering organization, and stay up-to-date on emerging threats and attack vectors.
