Requirements

Minimum of 5 to 6 years of experience in an Infrastructure role, with specific expertise in AWS Cloud Platform engineering
AWS Certified SysOps Engineer certification (advantageous)
Deep understanding of CI/CD pipelines and their role in maximizing quality within development teams
Knowledge of cloud monitoring tools such as Splunk, CloudWatch, and CloudTrail
Strong knowledge in containerization technologies like Kubernetes and Docker
AWS Cloud experience - CloudFormation, Tags, ASGs, EC2, VPCs, CW, RDS, DDB, SNS etc
Knowledge of core AWS Cloud Services (EC2, EKS, VPC, IAM, Route 53, RDS, Lambda)
AWS microservices – Lambda / API Gateway, SQS, SNS
Capable of identifying and addressing critical security issues, implementing automation to prevent recurrence, and designing effective disaster recovery processes
Expertise in analyzing performance bottlenecks and optimizing software and system performance as an AWS subject matter expert
Nice to Have: Windows/Linux operating system experience
Nice to Have: Azure Cloud experience

Responsibilities

People Leadership: Work with System Architects to assist in the design and personally deliver infrastructure including compute, network, communications, and storage components
Routine Monitoring and Reporting: Review regularly with IS/Infrastructure leadership; in cloud, regularly utilize AWS features such as Trusted Advisor, Guard Duty, and Well-Architected tools and produce actionable plans
Participate in high-profile Delivery Projects: Collaborate within a virtual team comprising members from Development, Support, Testing, and Service Desk to guarantee high-quality services and applications; implement automation solutions for deployment of patches and routine maintenance across infrastructure; keep abreast of best practices, emerging threats, and opportunities to enhance performance, agility, and cost-effectiveness
Cyber Project Delivery: Collaborate with the Cyber Team to enhance security measures; ensure Security and Privacy are fundamental in every design and deliverable
