Requirements

  • Field-based position supporting Abbott’s Vascular division in Los Angeles, CA
  • Expertise in vessel closure products, including small and large bore arterial, venous, and future releases
  • Focus on Electrophysiologists, Interventional Cardiologists, and hospital staff
  • Ability to serve as technical procedure and product expert in hospital settings (e.g., Cardiac Cath Lab, Interventional Radiology Lab, Operating Room)
  • Skills in case planning, case support coverage, product pull-through, troubleshooting, and in-service education
  • Capability to attend clinical procedures to ensure customer and patient success
  • Experience developing relationships with hospital personnel, identifying key decision makers, and making new contacts
  • Proficiency in educating customers via presentations and demonstrations using various formats (e.g., slides, transparencies, manuals)
  • Ability to meet with existing and potential customers (e.g., physicians, physician office groups) to identify needs and demonstrate products
  • Responsiveness to customer needs and complaints with creative solutions, collaborating with sales, clinical research, marketing, and product development
  • Availability to support the broader Region as needed

Responsibilities

  • Provide case planning, case support coverage, and product pull-through in the designated territory and Region
  • Promote Vascular products through education, service, and training of customers in hospital settings
  • Assist in achieving projected sales goals, increasing sales revenues, and market share for assigned product lines, with heavy focus on Vessel Closure
  • Serve as primary resource for clinical support, troubleshooting, and in-service education
  • Educate customers on product merits, proper clinical usage, latest developments, therapies, technologies, and industry items
  • Attend clinical procedures in Cardiac Cath Lab, Interventional Radiology Lab, and Operating Room
  • Develop relationships with hospital personnel and identify key decision makers
  • Meet with customers to identify clinical needs, goals, constraints, and demonstrate how products meet them
  • Respond to customer needs and complaints by developing solutions or collaborating with related personnel
