Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a financial services position (e.g., brokerage, banking, trading, exchange or clearinghouse)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for telephone, email, or online chat
  • In-depth understanding of financial instruments: stocks, securities, options, futures, options on futures, foreign exchange, and fixed income
  • Working knowledge of exchange operations and regulations, product offerings and specifications, execution platforms and rules, and margin methodologies
  • Proficiency with Windows operating system and MS applications (Word/Excel); adept at using the internet for information collection
  • Intermediate or higher experience with Bloomberg, Reuters, or similar data applications
  • FINRA Series 7, 63 or ability to obtain licenses
  • Multi-language skills (plus)
  • Self-motivated with ability to handle tasks with minimal supervision
  • Superb analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate activities with local and international Customer Service teams
  • Contribute to the development of client service systems, policies, and procedures
  • Resolve routine and complex client service issues thoroughly and timely using sound judgment and courtesy
  • Handle client inquiries on: Operations of IB Trader Workstation, Client Portal, and Mobile Trader execution platforms (including trading modules and analytical tools)
  • Handle client inquiries on: Cash deposit and withdrawal activity, position transfers, and account administrative functions
  • Handle client inquiries on: Product availability and attributes
  • Handle client inquiries on: Exchange, clearing, and depository functions
  • Handle client inquiries on: Order types and routing logic
  • Handle client inquiries on: Order status, trade and delivery settlement, exercise & assignment, expiration processing, and corporate actions
  • Handle client inquiries on: Margin calculations
  • Handle client inquiries on: Commission structure, interest, and fees
