Requirements
- At least 4 years’ of related insurance experience
- Strong technical knowledge of general insurance market conditions and specific insurance carrier underwriting appetites
- Strong Excel skills, including the ability to create and manage large spreadsheets of data
- Ability to analyze complex risk exposures, existing insurance coverages, and develop appropriate recommendations for clients and prospects
- Ability to forge relationships with key insurance markets and carrier representatives
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work as part of a team and build relationships with other Firm business segments
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day activities of client accounts, including policy review, changes, and updates; contract reviews; preparing renewal documents; marketing and negotiating insurance programs; financial statements related to the client’s insurance
- Assist in establishing and maintaining appropriate carrier relationships
- Manage client files in AMS accurately and consistently, ensuring proper documentation and communication
- Manage client inquiries and work with insurance partners and/or internal teams to resolve client issues
- Know the requirements and attributes of all insurance company partners while maintaining in-depth knowledge of the company and their resources
- Coordinate service delivery for accounts as assigned, including developing initial placement/renewal strategy
- Stay informed on regulatory changes
- Complete special projects as assigned
- Bring issues and discrepancies to appropriate leadership
- Serve as a mentor to colleagues as requested
