Requirements

Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree and a J.D. from an accredited law school, with a preference for at least five years of professional experience, including a minimum of three years of relevant legal experience. Strong knowledge of employment practices liability (EPL), directors and officers (D&O), cyber, errors and omissions (E&O), crime, and fiduciary claims is essential, along with experience in coverage analysis and claim management.

Responsibilities

The Claims Counsel will complete accurate and timely claim investigations, proactively manage pending claims to drive cost-effective resolutions, evaluate potential exposure on assigned claims to recommend reserves and manage case reserves, build and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external customers, direct and monitor assignments to outside counsel and experts, participate in settlement negotiations, support data collection efforts, identify and escalate emerging claims trends, and offer user-level feedback to improve claim handling processes and systems. They will also perform other duties as assigned.
