Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, and five to ten years of related experience. A Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred. Excellent technical writing, organization, and communication skills are essential, along with self-motivation and the ability to work effectively with others.
The Civil Engineer will provide technical planning, design, permitting, and construction support on various water utility projects, including collection systems, pump stations, wastewater treatment, and water distribution. They will prepare engineering calculations, design reports, construction plans, and construction plans using AutoCAD 3D, Civil 3D, and Revit. The role also includes reviewing plans and specifications, preparing permit submittals, assisting with cost estimates, monitoring project progress, documenting design changes, conducting on-site inspections, preparing project status reports, assisting in proposal preparation, and supporting Project Managers. Additionally, the engineer will attend meetings, manage project tasks, maintain client relations, ensure a safe working environment, and participate in associations.
