Responsibilities

  • Work with the Church & Community Engagement (CCE) Manager to develop a strategy for church engagement and mobilization with refugee and immigrant communities, aligned with WRWNY’s programmatic goals, mission, and vision
  • Integrate CCE staff and other WRWNY staff into the execution of the church engagement and mobilization strategy
  • Manage a church portfolio of 30-50 church partners, including regular communication, meetings, care, and tracking in Dynamics
  • Effectively engage, mobilize, and steward immigrant and non-immigrant churches in partnership with WRWNY around giving, advocating, volunteering, and equipping
  • Work with the CCE Manager to develop and implement a strategy for reaching a funding goal of $100,000 from church partners in FY26
  • Intentionally build new and ongoing holistic and mutual relationships with pastors and their churches to help fulfill their missions
  • Continue WRWNY’s work to develop and grow a local network of churches from various denominations and cultures to serve, support, and advocate for refugees and immigrants
  • Update and maintain church accounts in Dynamics, including contacts for pastoral and lay leaders, and track conversations, events, and activities
  • In partnership with the CCE team, coach and resource church leaders, teams, and volunteers for effective ministry alongside refugees and immigrants
  • Regularly preach, speak, and present at churches and other events on behalf of WRWNY
  • Assist CCE Manager in developing and sending out monthly church leader newsletters
  • Encourage and participate in multi-denominational and multi-cultural prayer, worship, and service opportunities in support of WRWNY's mission
  • Work on the planning and implementation of yearly church-related events, such as pastor’s gatherings
