Candidates must possess at least 15 years of relevant experience in system engineering, hardware design, and technical leadership roles for simulation, AR, VR, or related products in the defense or aerospace industries. A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field is required, with an advanced technical degree preferred. Proven expertise in system architecture design with a strong emphasis on combined hardware/software systems is essential, along with excellent communication skills to articulate technical concepts to diverse stakeholders. Candidates must also have the ability to obtain a security clearance, requiring U.S. Citizenship.
The Chief Engineer will drive overall system architecture with a primary focus on hardware while understanding software components. This role involves leading critical design decisions, conducting trade studies, and translating customer requirements into actionable system and subsystem specifications. The Chief Engineer will collaborate with government customers to guide the development of internal technical roadmaps, ensuring that Red 6 remains innovative and meets evolving customer needs.
