Responsibilities

Represent expertise in development
Contribute actively to project development as a full team member
Bear final responsibility for the overall quality of department deliverables (reliability, performance, security, maintainability)
Validate key architectural choices and assess technical feasibility of product-requested features, ensuring long-term alignment
Define, document, and enforce development standards (coding standards, naming conventions, testing strategies), keeping them updated with industry evolution
Analyze and continuously improve development processes (Git workflows, CI/CD, code reviews) to streamline production and reduce developer friction
Set up and lead recurring technical rituals (developer meetings, tech presentations, retrospectives) to promote knowledge sharing and team cohesion
Monitor market trends and propose innovative, distinctive improvements
Collaborate closely with other development expertise leads to harmonize practices, balance workload, and present a unified technical strategy to leadership
Motivate, support, and coach the product management team on training, professional development, and performance evaluations
Identify production-impacting issues, propose optimal solutions, and allocate tasks based on team availability and capabilities
Supervise team work to ensure progress, adherence to norms, timelines, and deliverable quality
Conduct regular team meetings
