Requirements

Candidates must be 21 years of age or older, possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL), and have a clean driving record. They must also be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English, and be able to lift, push, or move product weighing up to 100 pounds repeatedly. A pre-employment background check and drug screen are required, and prior experience, such as one year in customer delivery, six months with a hand cart/hand truck, and six months in food and beverage, is preferred. Consistent work history of two years is also desirable.

Responsibilities

The CDL A Local Delivery Truck Driver will safely and efficiently operate a tractor-trailer to deliver various products, including meats, produce, frozen foods, and groceries, to customer locations on an assigned route schedule. They will build relationships with customers, familiarize themselves with their operations, and meet their needs and expectations. The driver will also manually unload products and may be required to work overtime, including weekends and holidays, as needed, and participate in ongoing job skills and leadership development training.
