Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies for trucking, warehousing, air freight, and ocean freight categories
  • Conduct market research, spend analysis, and category reviews to identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives across all logistics categories
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with logistics service providers
  • Negotiate complex contracts to secure competitive pricing and favorable terms
  • Monitor supplier performance using KPIs and conduct regular business reviews
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align sourcing strategies with operational needs
  • Lead continuous improvement projects to enhance efficiency and reduce costs
  • Drive cost optimization initiatives and report savings against targets
  • Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes impacting logistics
  • Develop standardized contract templates and service level agreements for each logistics category
  • Ensure contract compliance and manage contract renewal processes
  • Collaborate with legal team to mitigate contractual risks
  • Create and maintain category roadmaps with clear objectives, timelines, and expected outcomes
  • Identify and qualify new potential logistics partners to diversify supplier base
