Responsibilities

Develop and implement sourcing strategies for trucking, warehousing, air freight, and ocean freight categories
Conduct market research, spend analysis, and category reviews to identify cost-saving opportunities
Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives across all logistics categories
Build and maintain strong relationships with logistics service providers
Negotiate complex contracts to secure competitive pricing and favorable terms
Monitor supplier performance using KPIs and conduct regular business reviews
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align sourcing strategies with operational needs
Lead continuous improvement projects to enhance efficiency and reduce costs
Drive cost optimization initiatives and report savings against targets
Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes impacting logistics
Develop standardized contract templates and service level agreements for each logistics category
Ensure contract compliance and manage contract renewal processes
Collaborate with legal team to mitigate contractual risks
Create and maintain category roadmaps with clear objectives, timelines, and expected outcomes
Identify and qualify new potential logistics partners to diversify supplier base
