Requirements

Clear understanding of all BJ’s Membership options, including the importance of renewals and upgrading to BJ’s Loyalty programs
Ability to process member purchases courteously and friendly, including verifying, renewing, upgrading, and offering membership products
Proficiency in scanning merchandise through a point-of-sale system for accurate inventory counts and purchase totals
Capability to provide high level of customer service, check out members timely and efficiently, fill shopping carts when necessary, and assist members
Commitment to maintaining overall cleanliness of the front-line department
Adherence to club policies, procedures, and compliance, with honesty, integrity, and a member-focused mindset
Ability to ensure a safe and positive environment, embrace inclusion and diversity, work collaboratively as a team, move with speed and agility, innovate, adapt, and maintain a friendly and positive attitude
Daily commitment to GOLD Member Standards (Greet, Anticipate, Appreciate) and club standards (Grand opening look, stocked items, promotional plans executed, visible accurate signage, clean and organized)
Understanding of how to access and read production and/or financial performance reporting for the department

Responsibilities

Process member purchases in a courteous and friendly manner, including verifying, renewing, upgrading, and offering membership products
Scan merchandise and accept various forms of payments
Provide excellent member service efficiently and productively
Maintain the overall cleanliness of the front-line department
Offer appropriate membership products such as renewals, EASY renewal option, BJ’s Loyalty programs, and Rewards redemption
Check members out in a timely and efficient manner
Fill shopping carts when necessary and assist members
Carry out job functions as assigned and support club policies, procedures, and compliance
Act with honesty and integrity, lead with the member in mind, address and escalate concerns
Deliver service excellence, resolve and deescalate member concerns, ensure safe and positive environment
Work as a team to achieve goals and deliver GOLD club standards daily
