Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required (preferably in science or business); Master's degree with 2+ years expertise in field; or Doctoral degree with 0+ years experience
  • 5+ years sales experience selling capital equipment into hospitals or laboratories (if Bachelor's degree)
  • Excellent time and territory management habits, as well as follow-up and follow-through skills
  • Strong communication and presentation skills; demonstrated ability to clearly, concisely, and accurately conduct a technical presentation
  • Program and sales management skills; highly organized, motivated, and success-driven within a team environment (Salesforce knowledge helpful)
  • Willingness to travel 50%-75% to customer locations, including overnight stays
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
  • Ability to lift, move, or carry equipment up to ##lb, and meet other physical/environmental requirements

Responsibilities

  • Accurately anticipate customer needs and execute sales strategy to become the technical vendor of choice
  • Drive and own core growth through footprint expansion, retaining, and growing base business
  • Call on accounts in sales territory and prioritize sales activities in active sales cycles (existing and competitive) to position Beckman Coulter solutions
  • Implement sales plan to achieve established sales and financial goals
  • Work remotely from home office and with customers in the field
  • Effectively link Beckman Coulter’s Microbiology solutions to customers’ technical, financial, and business needs
  • Strategically leverage internal and external resources (Service, Applications, Field Product Specialists, Leadership, Client Services) to build and execute agreed-upon strategy
