Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher AND 10 years of experience in capital management, project management, and people leadership in a private, public, government, or military environment
  • Preferred: Master’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field from an accredited institution
  • Preferred: Lean Six Sigma experience/accreditation
  • Preferred: Two years of managerial experience leading technical teams
  • Preferred: Experience leading large cross-functional projects with proficiency in project management skills to empower and align resources

Responsibilities

  • Lead the capital engineering organization in the US for the Filtration & Separation Division within Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc
  • Manage $30-40M/year of capital investment allocation to support business growth and strategic objectives
  • Develop and lead a world-class team of engineers and project managers to successfully implement capital projects across the network
  • Provide outstanding leadership, mentoring, and direction to ensure project implementation aligns with business strategy
  • Serve as a key liaison to Business and Operations Leaders, ensuring project execution and results align with the capital investment strategy
  • Collaborate with other engineering/operations department managers to manage distribution of work assignments, achieving overall business objectives
  • Apply proven standards, guidelines, and procedures to meet timing, budgetary, and functional needs of each project
  • Ensure compliance with environmental, health, safety, regulatory, intellectual property, and accounting requirements
  • Provide direct project management support for large capital projects >$2M
  • Manage workforce vendors and contracts effectively
